Decision of October 17, 2013 REVISED
THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF THE PUBLIC ENTITY SABA
The Dutch Federal Government of the Netherlands grants study financing annually to students who meet the criteria in order to pursue further studies either in St. Maarten, Curacao, Aruba, the Netherlands or at accredited institutions in the region as well as in the USA, Canada, or the UK.
Students who for some reason do not meet the requirements to obtain study financing (either they did not obtain 5 CXC generals necessary for further study in the USA or 6 CXC generals necessary for further study in the Netherlands with grade averages 1-3, or they have not achieved the necessary certificates at VSBO levels, but who have nonetheless been accepted at a recognized institution) can apply to the Island Government of Saba for financial assistance as means of subsistence or for a grant towards payment of their tuition.
The housing allowance is US $ 400.00 (or 300 euro) per month
The maximum tuition allowance is US $ 250 (or 200 euro) per month
The Dutch Federal Government of the Netherlands grants study financing annually to students in the former Netherlands Antilles islands (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius) US $ 348 less then studying in the other islands of the Caribbean region; therefore the following allowance will be granted to these students in the former Netherlands Antilles islands;

DECIDES TO IMPLEMENT THE FOLLOWING HOUSING AND TUITION ALLOWANCE POLICY FOR SABAN STUDENTS
Students applying for housing and/or tuition allowance should meet the following criteria:
How and where does one apply for study financing?
Each and every year around the month of June, the public will be informed about the possibility of applying for housing and tuition allowance via advertisements in the local media and via announcements on the bulletin boards via the school.
The relevant form will be prepared by the Insular Department of Education. The format to be used will be determined by the Executive Council on Saba.
After completing the form, it should be submitted to the Insular Department of Education on or before July 1st, along with the following required documents:
